10-Month Annual Fashion Design Program 

In this in-depth, 10-month program, Rozio and Ella show you step by step how to build your foundation as a fashion designer.

Collection Design

Whether you are interested in designing your own collection or working for a company, our sketching lessons will teach you how to manage your collection with a professional presentation and inspirational mood board.

Textiles

The students will be exposed to a vast inventory of textiles and trimmings and will have the opportunity to learn the different fabrics and textures for their collection. 

Sewing & Construction

Sewing is one of the most critical elements in fashion design. Our lessons cover everything from learning how to thread a sewing machine to the construction and completion of a full garment. Students will be introduced to pattern making in design 2.

Fashion Show and Photshoot

Students will have the opportunity to showcase their best work in two fashion show and photoshoots yearly.

The emphasis of the program is to teach the fundamentals of fashion design and sewing techniques. 

The designers will introduce you to collection design, sketching, textiles, and sewing. Students will learn to develop their own fashion style, by wardrobe planning, fashion modeling and fashion show production.

The pinnacle of the program is when the students showcase their garments by modeling for their photoshoot as well as for the Institute of Fashion’s bi-annual fashion show production.

Course will include

Develop Your Fashion Style

You will work closely with our professional designers who will help you find your own fashion style and unlock your creativity. They will guide you step-by-step from concept to completion.

Fashion Sketching

This program will cover the basics of fashion sketching whether you’re a beginner or an advanced level student. Being able to communicate your designs to others is a critical step toward becoming a successful fashion designer.

Basics of Sewing and Constructing

This annual program will guide you through the sewing process from start to finish. You’ll develop the skills necessary to sew your own handmade garments ranging from chic pants to elegant dresses. 

Fashion Show and Photoshoot

The students will have the chance to showcase what they’ve learned during the year by modeling their finished collection at their bi-annual fashion show and fashion photoshoots.

    Our Response to COVID-19

    In an effort to limit social contact and educate better our students we will be offering virtual or hybrid class options. Classes will commence Tuesday September 8th. Students must follow CDC guidelines by wearing masks and keeping social distance.


    We will be dividing students in 2 groups. The groups will have 3 to 6 students per class. We will be dividing the groups as best as we can on a first come first basis. Each group is divided in two. Classes for each group will either be on Tuesday or Thursday. Students will be coming to the Atelier every other week, this will help us stay on top of their progress while limiting contact and continuing virtually on the other week.


    Group A will meet in person the first week and virtually the second week and alternate with Group B.

    Students will be able to decide whether to attend virtually or hybrid classes. 


    Due to the many changes occurring during the pandemic, we will be monitoring the situation closely and keeping everyone updated on our plans or any changes to the schedule. ​
